Scottish police biometrics code of practice ready by autumn

Scotland's biometrics commissioner, Dr Brian Plastow, has said that a new code of practice governing biometrics use by Scottish police is close to being approved. The final draft of the 12-point code of practice, which covers facial recognition use, is sitting with Holyrood's justice committee, awaiting feedback before it comes into effect later this year.
