German DPA sends OpenAI questionnaire to assess lawful processing

The German State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Rhineland-Palatinate has sent a questionnaire containing 79 individual questions to OpenAI regarding ChatGPT. The questionnaire seeks to identify whether ChatGPT's processing of personal data is carried out lawfully, particularly concerning special data categories under Article 9 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
