The Good Law Project has initiated a legal challenge against Reform UK for failing to inform individuals whether it possesses their data and refusing to delete it upon request, as required by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Good Law Project discovered that Reform, led by Nigel Farage, ignored the rights of data subjects leading up to the general election after it shared a tool giving people the ability to find out what data political parties were holding on them. The Good Law Project has engaged the services of Pallas LLP to mount a legal challenge against Reform. The initial step involves sending a letter to Reform, highlighting its failure to adhere to Articles 15, 18, and 21 of the GDPR and giving the party 14 days to respond to the data subjects' requests.
