EU Council, Commission and Parliament ePrivacy drafts comparison

Hogan Lovells has put produced a table that compares the European Commission's original 2017 proposal for the ePrivacy Regulation with the negotiating mandates from the European Parliament and Council of the European Union. The chart compares how each handles cookies and tracking technologies, electronic communications data and direct marketing. Meanwhile, the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union responded to European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager after she expressed her "reservations" about its proposal to unblock ePrivacy negotiations.
