IAB Europe files Belgium Court for interim measures in TCF dispute

IAB Europe has confirmed that it has lodged a formal request with the Belgian Market Court for interim measures in the Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) case. The announcement comes after the Belgium DPA agreed to IAB Europe's remedial action plan in January. Despite this, IAB Europe's appeal, now referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), will go ahead. However, the CJEU will only render its judgement after the six-month deadline to implement the action plan has passed. For this reason, IAB Europe is seeking interim measures to prevent the Belgium DPA from any enforcement actions that may subsequently need to be rolled back if the CJEU’s ruling is in IAB Europe's favour.
