IAB launches Global Privacy Platform Implementation Guidelines

The IAB Tech Lab has announced the launch of its Global Privacy Platform (GPP) Implementation Guidelines, developed to help participants in the digital ecosystem to support user choice and adhere to consumer privacy regulations across various global jurisdictions. The guidelines aim to lower the costs associated with privacy compliance by increasing interoperability and simplifying user preference communication. This approach allows all digital advertising supply chain stakeholders to more easily navigate regional privacy regulations and empowers users to better manage their preferences.

A public consultation on the GPP implementation guidelines is now open for 45 days, ending on 16 December 2024.
