ADPPA heads to House Subcommittee on Innovation Data & Commerce

In his weekly update on the latest privacy developments in the US capital, IAPP Managing Director, Washington, D.C., Cobun Zweifel-Keegan (CIPP/US, CIPM) outlines what to expect next with the American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA). With continuing strong bipartisan support, the ADPPA will most likely be considered before a recently refocused and rebranded US House of Representatives group called the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. However, its path forward remains uncertain.
