California's Office of the Attorney General has proposed a set of new modifications to the California Consumer Privacy Act regulations. The IAPP offer a brief analysis of the proposed updates. The OAG will accept written comments to the proposed changes until 28th December. Meanwhile, Carnegie Mellon University's Security and Privacy Institute discuss the new privacy icon it helped design along with the University of Michigan School of Information for CCPA use. CyLab's Lorrie Cranor, CIPT, said, "We tried a variety of designs and performed a series of user tests that give us confidence that our icon will do its job effectively."
