Examining third-party cybersecurity risks under EU laws

Laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), NIS2 Directive, Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), and Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) address third-party risk management in sector-specific ways. These frameworks highlight the need for comprehensive planning, contractual safeguards, continuous monitoring and clear role definitions in order to ensure accountability and security.
