FTC chair calls for interdisciplinary approach to privacy and security

In her keynote address at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit 2022, US Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan highlighted the need for organisations to take an "interdisciplinary approach" to data privacy and security taken "through both a consumer protection and competition lens." Meanwhile, speaking in a separate GPS session, FTC Commissioner Noah Phillips said looking at privacy through competition is "wrong, wrong, wrong."
