FTC Chair Lina Khan discusses enforcement work

The US Federal Trade Commission has shown big aspirations for cracking down on technology companies under Chair Lina Khan. However, it remains to be seen if her ambitious plans can be fully executed. Khan sought to shed light on the commission's actions to date and her overall vision in a CNBC TV appearance on Wednesday. In this article, the IAPP provides a rundown of Khan's comments. UPDATE: 260122 -  Consumer Reports and the EPIC published a white paper detailing steps the FTC should take on privacy rulemaking, while Accountable Tech submitted a petition calling on the FTC to initiate a rulemaking process to prohibit surveillance-based advertising.
