GDPR representatives in EU and UK after Brexit

While the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement grants a temporary respite for privacy professionals, obligations to appoint representatives under the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR fully applying to cross-border processing between the European Economic Area and the UK have been in effect since 1st January. The IAPP breaks down the new UK GDPR representative requirement for both EU and non-EU companies.
