Highlighting 5 areas of concern around hard data localisation in the EU

Back in November, the European Data Protection Board released two documents with guidance on when personal data will be allowed to flow to non-EU countries. Some European commentators have concluded the draft documents from the EDPB could have the effect of hard data localisation. In response, the IAPP, recap the comments they sent to the EDPB, highlighting the top-five areas of concern around the effects of hard data localisation.
