How the US could lead discussions on data transfers

At the IAPP Privacy. Security. Risk. 2021 conference in October, the US government outlined its offensive strategy for leading international discussions on privacy. This included the subtle announcement to support an expansion of the Cross-Border Privacy Rules system to “go global” and allow participation by economies anywhere in the world.
