IAPP-EY have published their Annual Privacy Governance Report 2022. the report includes responses from more than 700 privacy professionals in over 40 countries, sharing details about today's privacy operations. This year, the research focused on governance and organisational structures, privacy strategy and planning, compensation and budget management, and performance metrics and monitoring. Over 30% of organisations are prioritising international transfer rules and privacy impact assessments, while 66% report their privacy strategy is aligned with their organisation's overall corporate strategy. Demand for privacy expertise continues to grow by 12% on average.
