The Privacy Paradox: Securing Data To Build Customer Engagement

The IAPP has added a report published by PYMNTS and Very Good Security to its resource centre that explores the roles that privacy protections and data security play in customer engagement by analysing survey results of 2,257 US consumers. The participants were asked 13 questions about their behaviours and attitudes toward privacy, data security when engaging with online services. The questions range from attitudes about sharing personal data to making online purchases. The responses are split into generation cohorts and, in some cases, industry sectors. “This report provides insights into steps that companies can take to address consumers’ concerns about data privacy,” it states.
