UK digital regulators discuss cross-agency enforcement of AI

During a recent LinkedIn Live discussion, Stephen Almond, Executive Director for Regulatory Risk at the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), believes that the proposed Online Safety Bill and the Data Protection and Digital Information (No.2) Bill will present new privacy challenges for digital regulators in their efforts to ensure the safe use of artificial intelligence. The UK Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DCRF) will have to coordinate further enforcement efforts to address these challenges. Almond also acknowledges that achieving greater safety online might require collecting more information about people.
