Watch DPPC22 privacy in sports keynote discussion

A keynote presentation at the IAPP Data Protection Congress 2022 in Brussels this week discussed the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A panel of experts from sport and data protection came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities brought about by data and technology ahead of the biggest sporting event in the world. Irish Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon moderated the panel. It included FIFPRO Director of Global Policy and Strategy Alexander Bielefeld, LawInSport co-founder and CEO Sean Cottrell, Irish Data Protection Commission Deputy Commissioner and Head of Corporate Affairs, Media and Communications Graham Doyle and FIFA Head of Data Protection and Cybersecurity Jorge Oliveira e Carmo, CIPM.
