What privacy professionals can do to help OECD cross-border efforts

As the adoption of cross-border data regulations grows, a patchwork of rules makes it just as difficult to enforce laws and regulations across different jurisdictions as it does for companies to operate across markets. Governments are under pressure to create regulatory environments that facilitate the movement of data while at the same time ensuring appropriate protections for cross-border data transfers are in place. In this article, the IAPP speaks with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) about the international data transfer agreement it is working on and what privacy pros can do to help.
