The ICO opened the first chapter of its public consultation for comment on its draft guidance on anonymisation, pseudonymisation and privacy-enhancing technologies back in May. The ICO has now added a second chapter, How do we ensure anonymisation is effective? examining identifiability. It includes data sharing scenarios and guidance on managing re-identification risk. Additional draft chapters will be released on pseudonymisation techniques and best practices, the role of privacy-enhancing technologies in safe data sharing, and case studies with best practices of data sharing measures. The consultation closes on the 28th of November.
