ICO blog outlines three core standards of the Children's Code

Alongside the publication of UNICEF's manifesto setting out a vision for better global governance of children's data, and Facebook announcing that it is drawing back on targeting to under 18's, the ICO continues to throw a spotlight on the Children's Code. In a blog article, the ICO discusses three standards you must think about when working with children's data:

  • The best interests of the child
  • Detrimental use of children's data
  • Data minimisation
