ICO fines Cabinet Office £500k over New Year honours list data breach

The ICO has fined the Cabinet Office £500,000 for violations of Articles 5(1)(f) and 32(1) of the GDPR after it disclosed the postal addresses of more than 1000 recipients of the 2020 New Year Honours online. In the 2 hours and 21 minutes that the personal data was online, it was accessed 3,182 times.
