ICO fines two companies £120,000 for PECR violations

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has fined two companies £120,000 for illegal direct marketing under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). 

  • WerepairUK Ltd was fined £80,000 and issued an enforcement notice for making 42,688 illegal marketing calls in breach of regulations 21 PECR.
  • Service Box Group Limited was fined £40,000 and issued an enforcement notice for making 5,361 illegal marketing calls in breach of regulations 21 PECR.
