ICO fines two companies £150,000 for PECR violations

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has fined two companies £150,000 for illegal direct marketing under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). 

  • Breathe Services Ltd was fined £170,000 for sending 4,376,037 unsolicited direct marketing calls to numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) in breach of regulations 21 and 24 of PECR.
  • Money Bubble Ltd was fined £120,000 for sending 168,852 unsolicited direct marketing calls to numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) in breach of regulations 21 and 24 of PECR.
