ICO fines Virgin Media £50,000

The ICO has fined Virgin Media Limited  £50,000 for sending 451,217 direct marketing emails to customers that had opted out, asking them to change their marketing preferences.  Only one person complained to the ICO, but that was deemed enough for the regulator to investigate.
