ICO initiative teaches young people about their environment and EIRs

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published a blog article aimed at encouraging young people to inquire about topics that impact their lives and communities by utilising their right of access to information from public authorities under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).

The article highlights a partnership with the National Education Nature Park, in which the ICO has created two educational resources to empower young people aged 7-11 and 11-16 years old to explore environmental issues by submitting EIR requests to relevant authorities.
