The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has issued an enforcement notice to City of London Police for failing to comply with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) due to a large, rising backlog of older requests and an average compliance rate of 68% in 2023/24.
In addition, the ICO also issued practice recommendations to Staffordshire Police, Dorset Police and Goldsmiths, University of London to improve their compliance with the Act.
