Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has been issued an enforcement notice by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for repeatedly failing to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests. The ICO's action comes after GMP was found to have a backlog of 850 overdue requests, of which 800 were over six months old and 580 over 12 months. The oldest open request was almost two and a half years old.
