ICO opens consultation about age assurance

The ICO has opened a public consultation about how to address the issue of age assurance while complying with the Children's Code. In the opinion, the ICO explains how age assurance can "form part of an appropriate and proportionate approach" to helping age assurance software providers comply with the code. The regulator is also calling for evidence to understand age estimation approaches better. The consultation and evidence submission period is open until the 9th December.
