The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has launched its fifth and final phase in its consultation series, which focuses on allocating accountability for data protection compliance across the generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) supply chain.
The consultation closes on 18 September 2024.

In related news, the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched a consultation on regulatory approaches for artificial intelligence (AI). In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing AI governance landscape, UNESCO has mapped the different regulatory approaches for AI from over 30 countries. The findings from this consultation will be compiled into a policy brief. The consultation closes on 19 September 2024.
