ICO opens consultation on its draft Impact Assessment Framework

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has opened a consultation into its draft Impact Assessment Framework. The ICO uses impact assessments (IA) to assess whether its enforcement actions are proportionate and balanced. The framework sets out the criteria for IA usage, what they include and their significance in the ICO's decision-making process. The ICO is looking for feedback on its approach, whether its usage criteria is appropriate and any other comments.
