ICO publishes updated guidance for BCRs

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published updated guidance for using binding corporate rules (BCRs) as a mechanism for international data transfers. The update focuses on simplifying the approach for controllers and processors, with the ICO noting that it will "only request supporting documents and commitments once during the UK approval process." Furthermore, the ICO clarified that BCRs are a "gold standard" data transfer mechanism that "demonstrates your commitment to implementing appropriate safeguards."
