ICO to open consultation on UK SCCs in the summer

The ICO held its Data Protection Practitioners’ Conference this week, which saw more than 3,000 privacy professionals from across the country attend virtually. Of the many headlines from the day, the key takeaway was the announcement that the ICO will open a consultation over UK Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in the summer. Other highlights include help for SMEs and a discussion about unlocking the benefits of data sharing.
