The ICO has issued a £170,000 fine to Yes Consumer Solutions Limited for making 188,493 unsolicited marketing calls to individuals registered on the TPS scheme for an infringement of Regulation 21 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Among the complaints to the ICO, an 87-year-old man was offered a service protecting against nuisance calls. Others were offered the same service for £1.50 a week.
