FOI disclosures down under Johnson Government

Access to government information has fallen to record levels under Boris Johnson's leadership. Civil servants are increasingly failing to respond to FOI requests on time or in line with their obligations. The Cabinet Office is the worst-performing department answering only 64 per cent of requests on time, down from 85 per cent in 2019. In 2017 it was answering 95 per cent of requests.
