It's time for e line-by-line review of the ADPPA to make it clearer

The former US Federal Trade Commission (FCC) Chief Privacy Officer Marc Groman has summarised his recent Information Accountability Foundation article: Cleanup in Aisle ADPPA. The article provides analysis and recommendations for making the draft American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA) easier to read, understand, and follow. Groman calls the ADPPA "an impressive bipartisan effort on an important and timely issue" but fears it is "difficult to interpret and if enacted into law would be challenging to implement and enforce." He proposes a complete review of each provision so that the language is as clear as possible and does what people believe it is intended to do.
