Data breach takes UK Army recruitment database offline

The online recruitment portal for the British Army has been offline middle of March following a data breach. The system was shut down as a precaution after personal data, including names, dates of birth, addresses, qualifications and previous employment details belonging to 120 recruits, was discovered on the dark web for sale. The ICO has been notified, and no comment has been made about whether Russia or Russian actors were involved.
