The survey of 3,320 directors from companies across the US, UK, Germany, the Nordics, and the Benelux regions highlights that non-approved AI tools are difficult to oversee, particularly when they are integrated with legacy systems. This shadow AI poses considerable cyber and compliance risks, as there is a potential for employees to unintentionally share sensitive data with large language models (LLMs).
