Irish DPC sends EDPB draft TikTok decision over children's privacy

Ireland's Data Protection Commission (DPC) has confirmed the submission of a preliminary decision against TikTok to members of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) under Article 60 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for alleged violations concerning the processing of children's personal data. The DPC opened its TikTok investigation in September 2021 following concerns about the platforms' processing of personal data for users under age 18 and age verification measures for persons under 13.
