X agrees to permanently end training its Grok AI on EU/EEA user posts

On Wednesday, 4 September 2024, the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) announced that the High Court proceedings in Ireland against Twitter International Unlimited Company, which were brought on 8 August 2024, have been struck out following an agreement by X to permanently end its processing of public posts of EU/EEA users to train its artificial intelligence (AI) models.
