New research published by the Big Four accounting company KPMG reveals that building trust is everything for businesses today. In the digitised world, privacy and cybersecurity play a key role in maintaining that trust. The report: Cyber trust insights 2022 surveyed 1,881 executives from global companies to establish the extent C-suite executives understand how much their company relies on cybersecurity and the need to uphold customers' privacy. The research also identifies five steps to build trust through cybersecurity:
- Treat cyber as a golden thread woven into the business
- Build internal alliances to drive trust
- Reimagine the CISO role
- Secure leadership support for investment in trust
- Reach out to the ecosystem
