Privacy Shield director says EU-US adequacy talks close to conclusion

US Privacy Shield Director Alex Greenstein provided an update on talks to address EU-US adequacy and replace the invalidated EU-US Privacy Shield, saying discussions are "in the home stretch." Speaking at the State of the Net conference, Greenstein did not give a specific timeline for a deal but acknowledged that EU and US officials recognise companies are "operating in an environment of uncertainty right now" regarding data transfers. But he added both sides will "hopefully have good news soon."
