EU DMA may have unintended consequences

University of Arizona law professor Jane Bambauer writes that the EU Digital Markets Act could have "unintended consequences for privacy, competition or both." In an article for Lawfare, Bambauer called the DMA "on the express lane to regulatory headaches and industry confusion" and said it will be "very difficult to reconcile the obligations of the DMA with other legal mandates and practical necessities related to privacy and security." The IAPP produced an infographic detailing the EU's data laws, including the DMA.
