The Liechtenstein data protection authority, Datenschutzstelle, has said decisions by other EU DPAs, including Austria, France, and others, confirm its view that there is no legal basis to justify personal data transfers to the US associated with Google Analytics. The DPA urged website designers “to use alternative, data protection-compliant solutions.” While it is not conducting investigations into Google Analytics use, the DPA said several complaints filed in Liechtenstein “could be resolved amicably by the website operators immediately deactivating Google Analytics.”
