Vinted issued €2,4m GDPR fine by Lithuanian DPA

On Wednesday, 3 July 2024, the Lithuanian data protection authority (DPA) issued a €2,385,276 fine to the online second-hand clothing platform Vinted for transparency and fairness violations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

The move follows a joint investigation by the Lithuanian, French, Polish and DPAs with support from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), launched in June 2022.
