Microsoft announces privacy management tools

Microsoft is introducing Privacy Management for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Compliance Manager to help navigate data privacy regulations emerging around the world. Corporate Vice President, Security, Compliance and Identity Vasu Jakkal said the tools will help “customers safeguard personal data and build a privacy-resilient workplace” and make it easier to “interpret, assess, and improve” compliance with regulatory requirements. Microsoft is also partnering with OneTrust, Securiti.ai and WireWheel to “extend subject rights management capabilities to personal data stored outside of the Microsoft 365 environment,” Jakkal said.
