ICO investigates MOJ collection of criminal barristers' names

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has opened an investigation into the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) over reports court staff were asked to report barristers that did not attend court due to being on strike. According to Mishcon de Reya, acting on behalf of the Criminal Bar Association (CBA): "…a direct request from the Deputy Prime Minister with full knowledge of the downsides…".
