Women's health apps highlighted Mozilla privacy not included 2022 report

Mozilla has published the results of its annual Privacy Not Included report, looking at the data collection, sharing and security measures within popular apps and devices used by US and European consumers. In light of the US Supreme Court's decision to end the constitutional right to abortion in the US, much of the press coverage from The Guardian and The Register focuses on the Women's health section, which highlights that 18 of 25 leading (reproductive health) period and fertility tracking apps and devices have privacy and security problems. The full report covers many other areas, including smart home tech, toys, entertainment, wearables, health and exercise, pets, video conference, and dating apps.
