The UK National Cyber Security Agency (NCSC) has published updated guidance on implementing data-driven cybersecurity (DDC). The concept is based on taking a scientific, evidence-based approach to cybersecurity decision-making. To operate DDC, organisations must have "high availability, quality and timeliness of data" combined with skilled employees to:
- engineer, govern and analyse the data
- develop and maintain the infrastructure (including any components that use machine learning or artificial intelligence)
- communicate the findings
