European Data Protection Board Chair Andrea Jelinek has defended EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) harmonised enforcement, saying that authorities have "very good and unexcited, cross-border cooperation." On the matter of GDPR reform, Jelinek said the EU system works but noted that the regime "can always be filled with more life."
Jelinek also spoke about the Irish Data Protection Commission's (DPC) Meta's EU-US data transfers case, saying that it will follow "a completely normal legal procedure" and will likely end in the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).
